Creature design - WIP

Been working on a creature/sea dragon based on a concept I did a couple of weeks ago. Still in the process of refining the design. This maquette is part of the process in nailing down the forms I am looking for. This was modeled using Chavant (Non Sulphuric synthetic clay) and is 18 inch on the long end. It is 85% done and needs to be refined further. Need to fix/refine primary details and skin texture before I jump into secondary details. Long way to go.

Armored Core Update [WiP]

Work in progress of the Armored Core mech (based of the mech from the series). The shoulder canons still need to be modeled out, as well as detailing various sections of the upper body. Still a looooooong way to go T_T

Armored Core [custom] WiP - Update 2.0

So, I have been working on this for sometime now as part of my class assignment, and its still a work in progress. Not going to texture this anytime soon. Perhaps later, and rig it if I have time.

I still have a lot left to do, next update - Primary Rifle, Shoulder Canons, Side Arms, and body detailing. This is just a flat clay render, nothing fancy. All done in Maya ofcourse. Rendered in Vray.

PS: Based off the mech, concept in Armored Core Series

Feet Study - Traditional sculpture using water based clay

Feet Study - traditional sculpture using water based clay. Patina (surface texture and paint) was done using a bronze (metallic) mix then coated with a darker brown (matte) mix on top.

Custom Armored Core - Work in Progress

Working on this for my hard surface class. I am on my 4th week with this model. Have a lot of cleaning up, and detailing left to do. I am not allowed to use any smoothing so all you see are beveled edges from start to finish. Next up are the legs, rail gun, shoulder canons. I have less than 3 weeks left to turn in this project. Here's a simple clay render of the model, no texturing or anything fancy.

Modeling done in Maya, rendered in Vray. Work in Progess!
